SERVE OTHERS
Serve others in & through the local church by providing medical/dental care, clean water, poverty care, & education as a platform to share the Gospel.

Medical/Dental Care
A critical lack of access to medical and dental care persists across East Africa, resulting in significant health burdens. Limited access to essential health services contributes to higher morbidity rates and a lower quality of life. Our ministry team partners with local organizations and health care professionals to help increase access to basic medical and dental needs and facilitate professional skills training for local doctors and dentists. Additionally, we always work in close connection with the local church to ensure that spiritual health is not neglected.

Clean Water Provision
A significant portion of the population in East Africa lacks access to clean water, and over a third of African countries are classified as "water-insecure." The consequences of this lack of clean water are severe, as it leads to increased cases of waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrheal illnesses, which are major causes of mortality, especially among children. Furthermore, the burden of water collection often falls on women and girls, who may spend significant time and energy fetching water, hindering their education and economic opportunities. TRN is blessed to have been able to help facilitate the construction of more than 60 water wells in Burundi and Rwanda since 2018, and we are excited to expand into DRC and Tanzania soon!

Poverty Care
Poverty remains a significant challenge in East African countries, with a substantial portion of the population living below the poverty line and struggling to meet their basic needs. Caring for those in need can have a profound impact on the community, enhancing their capacity to be productive members of society. TRN strives to do this by working with local churches to do things like provide disaster relief, implement sustainable feeding programs in schools, and finding other creative ways to serve those in need. When people come together to support the vulnerable, it fosters empathy, compassion, and a sense of shared responsibility... and it puts the love of Christ on display.

Education
TRN partners with local churches and other organizations to help implement skills training programs, like our women's sewing program, and support ambitious men and women in their efforts to pursue further education. Providing education and skills training can offer significant benefits by equipping and empowering individuals to secure better employment opportunities, provide for their families, and contribute to the local economy.
